I don't know whether to be upset, scared, angry, etc..... DH and I have taken the summer off from treatments, before we start IVF in October. My long, irregular cycles seemed to somewhat straighten themselves out over the summer, so we've been trying on our own. The last 3 months I've ovulated on CD17 and had a 29 day cycle. Never happened before in my life! This was going to be our last cycle to try on our own before having to go on BCP for IVF. I had AF two weekends ago, and by this weekend I was noticing some watery CM (on CD8-9). I was out of town and DH wasn't with me, so we couldn't BD, obviously. I got back Sunday night which was CD10. Yesterday, which was CD11, I started temping and doing opk's (I always chart & do opk's for unmed. cycles, starting around cd11-12). My temp was raised slightly yesterday, but I attributed it to traveling. OPK yesterday was negative. Then this morning, my temp was way up, usually where it is after O. WTH???? I am so freaked out and worried that I ovulated on Sunday. This would have been CD10. I have slight DOR so I am so scared that my body is starting to go into pre-menopause or something. I'm only 33
I know I won't know for sure until I temp a few more days, but my body is having a lot of post-O signs. Needless to say, I'm also incredibly disappointed we may have missed our last chance to try on our own before IVF. Not that our odds were good, but I was hopeful, since my cycles were starting to get normal. I guess not so much.
Has anyone else had a random, short cycle, where you o'd really early? I am hoping and praying this isn't what happened. Thanks ladies.

Re: Anyone ever have a really short cycle (no meds)?
Yep, yep! No need to worry. If it still freaks you out, call and ask your doc. Short cycles are not a sign of pre-menopause as far as I have heard. It is completely normal to have a cycle that is really weird every once in a while.
ETA: Also, because you started temping so late, you really can't be sure of when you ovulated. Keep temping and sexing it up just in case!
My shortest cycle in the past was 22 days. I would get it maybe once a year out of no where, no reason. I was charting at the time and I did ovulate on cd8. I am 37 and I do have DOR and all of this could be caused by that as explained to me by my doctor.
That said though, IVF worked for me and it can work for you as well.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

My cycles are always short 22-23 days. I also have heard that can be a sign of DOR, but so far, my tests have been normal (which is surprising because I am 38).
I don't think you should worry at all about one short cycle.
