Another Nestie from the Parenting Board sent me a summary of the 3 day PT books that she got from another Nestie.
I am going to see how that goes next week while we are on vacation. If you want that email me at Stephanie.Best@gmail.com and I will forward it to you.
We had dd pt in 3 days (during day and over night). We put undies on her first thing in the am when she got up. For the first 3 days I was constantly asking her if she had to go potty! After every so often I would have her sit on the potty even if she said she didn't have to go (Most of the time she would end up going). On the 3rd day I didn't ask/remind her as often, probably every 45 minutes or so. At that time she also started going in and going on her own more. By day 4 I rarely had to remind her and now 8 days since starting she just goes when she needs too...i dont remind her anymore.
Give lots and lots of praise when she goes in the potty! Tell her what a good girl she is and how big she is and that you are soo proud of her! Also I bribed with a lot of smarties!
As far as night time, I wasn't expecting her to be pt for overnight so soon. Night 3 she kept her diaper compeletely dry so on Night 4 I did a pull up. That stayed dry so we just put undies on her to wear to bed now.
She is my easy child for sure!!!! I am very blessed with how easy she did it! I can only hope when it's Miss Carly's turn it will be that easy but I am not holding my breath!
