Re: Good coffee fix??

  • My doc actually said it's fine to have a cup or two a day. But I'm with you, and I haven't been having it. I don't like the taste of decaf on its own, but I find that a Starbucks decaf vanilla or mocha latte is delicious.

  • coffee icecream?? I had a lil cup last nite..yummy..then went to bed
  • I kno plenty of women who drink a cup or two a day..even a cup of half caf and half decaf mixed together..I dont know..I havent drank any..
  • A small amount of coffee every day is not going to hurt the baby. Just keep your total amount of caffeine to under 300mg.

I have had a 1/2 cup of coffee each and every morning.

  • I have decaf Caramel Lattes from Starbucks. Since I used to drink regular Caramel Lattes from there pre-pregnancy...it's almost like having the good ol' caffeine. Best of all, it's not nasty plain old decaf coffee...which tastes like someone put 7 oz of water to 1 oz of regular coffee...*bleh!*

  • You can have upto 200 MG of caffine a day with no worries.

  • I drink a cup of decaf every day.  Instant decaf.  I just put the teaspoon in a mug and pour hot water over it like tea.  It's pretty good!

  • i need my carmel swirl iced latte from DD regularly.  I emailed DD to find out how much caffeine is in them.  They emailed me back that there is only 75mg of caffeine in a small.  so i treat myself to one per week :)  they are heavenly!

  • Just drink a cup of coffee. It's not going to hurt you or the baby. I have some a couple of times a week.

  • I held off during first tri - the big risk with caffeine is increased chance of miscarriage -  but am back to drinking 1-2 cups of coffee a day and LO is perfect.  I'm at 32 weeks - 300 mg of caffeine is 2 cups of regular coffee or FOUR shots of espresso....(I totally looked it up).  I stick to a cup a day, 2 on really bad tired days and don't worry about it at all.  On the ohter hand, I don't drink alcohol so no "cheat" glasses of wine or anything else for me throughout pg.
  • I work for Starbucks part time...you can get your normal drink but try 1/2 caf... It doesn't change the flavor. Or get a extra pump of your flavoring, and it will cover up the decaf taste!

I went CRAZY when i found out i was prego.... i had withdrawls from coffee and soda... but my dr said it's ok to drink one -two a day...
