evenflow infant carseat?

Is anyone buying one of these.  I used a Graco with my DD but it was very girl oriented and we are having a boy this time so my friend let me borrow her evenflow seat.  I haven't looked into their rating or safety or anything yet and I was just wondering if anyone had good or bad things to say about them.

Baby Bargains did not rate it highly, so I didn't look at it. We have friends who have it and are very happy

im eager to see the replies to this, because we are getting the evenflow aura travel system.

With my first two babies we used primarily Evenflo items.  They tend to wear out real quick.  This time we're planning on using Graco.  Evenflo prodcuts seem flimsy to me where are Graco look and feel as though they're built better.  JMO.

Many of the evenflo infant seats have ejected in a crash.  They are also recalled frequently.  I have never met a car seat tech that recommends them.  If you get a graco make sure that it front adjusts so that you can adjust the straps more easily than having to reach behind the seat to adjust the tightness of the harness.  HTH!

DH is a car seat tech and he does not recommend the Evenflow car seats.  He does not think they are well made compared to other brands.  He especially likes Graco and Chicco.  HTH.

I would not recommend it. Our base snapped in two after less than six months of use. Thank God we were never in an accident with him in it.
