I don't have a list per se, but I recall being grateful that someone suggested those slipper socks and a nice bathrobe for afterwards. Seemed like good things to have packed.
I don't have a list either, but basic?toiletries, nursing tops/bras if you plan on nursing, comfy pants to walk hallways and go home in, bathrobe, slipper socks, I like to wear sandals in the shower personally (don't really trust them to clean the floor that well!), ?granny panties to handle those huge pads afterwards, going home outfit for LO. ?You don't need meds, the hospital will give you anything you need to take, and you might want to bring your own pads for after the bleeding slows a little?because?the hospital pads are humongous!)
I also am bringing a small labor bag, ?with snacks for DH , some sucking candies for me, chapstick, camera, hair bands, music and player (haven't decided between my IPOD and a small portable cd/boombox, i used it during labor with DS and it really helped, even the nurses commented how relaxing the music was)
I will leave the first bag in the car until we are settled and I have a postpartum room, and take the labor bag in with me.?
I remember from last time, that I completely overpacked. I stayed in my hospital gown the entire time, so the only clothes I needed for me was my going home outfit. Other things that I took that I definitely used/needed: bathrobe, slippers, toiletries, my own pillow (hospital pillows suck), and snacks (I took some cookies & crackers). For baby, we had blankets and an outfit (although, DD just wore home what she had on in the hospital). Honestly, that's all I used. I took my Ipod & speakers and books, but never once used them. GL!
