Healthy food suggestions?

I'm having a lot of trouble eating healthy lately. I constantly crave fast food and it's hard to stay away from it. Does anyone have any suggestions for some healthier (easy) meals and snacks? I'm always on the go and so it's easy just to grab something. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It is pretty easy to pack a lunch even if you're on the go.  Just toss in a bottled water, a cheese (string or babybell type)/or a yogurt, quick sandwich, and crunchy veggie. If you think about it before hand and prepare for it when you go to the grocery store it's easy.  And if you have to go to fast food, you can always order salad or if you are still craving junk, limit yourself to a happy meal.  Feel free to play with the toy!

I agree that planning ahead is key.  I tend to pack fruit and yogurt for snacks, but I'm pretty boring in terms of food.

My favorite on the go snacks english muffin sandwiches they need to be kept slightly cold but if you have a little lunch box just throw in an ice pack and it will stay chilled.

    My favorites..

Always whole wheat english muffin toasted, natural peanut butter, either strawberries, bannannas or combo of both a dolp of cottage cheese wrap it in tin foil and you have a really good snack with protien, fiber, good carbs, good fat a serving of fruit SO GOOD!

Also on a wheat muffin smoked salmon with lite cream cheese with an onion slice, tomato  or cucumber slice wrapped in tin foil.

Hard boiled egg with the yolk removed with hummus.

Dont forget that yogurt is not created equal... buy a large plain nonfat yougurt it is cheaper and just put in tupperware and throw in your own fruit.

    Almonds always have almonds!!!!

Hope this helps, but as everyone else has said you really need to spend a little time preparing so that you arent starved pulling into a fast food place. Eat little meals 5 times a day.

    Enjoy!!

I agree, the best way to prevent eating unhealthily is to pre-plan... which doesn't have to be boring! Think about things you always love and have them readily available... fruit, granola bars, crackers and cheese, nuts, etc.

    GL!

i would try Panera or St. Louis bread (whatever it's called where you live) because they have GREAT sandwiches that are good for you.
