It's a Girl! names????

We are thinking Dylan. yes Dylan for a girl! but still not 100%. This is #5?for us. Our other daughters names are Mikayla, Moriah, Olivia, and Ella. Not sure if Dylan really goes?!?! and Everybody keeps asking "Was that what you were gonna name it if it was a boy?" and the answer is NO! getting on my nerves bad! We didn't even start picking out names until we knew it was a girl! So any suggestion on names? love all kinds of names! just wanted to know what some girl names are that maybe i haven't thought about or heard of. ?THANKS!

Re: It's a Girl! names????

  • We are naming our girl Keira.

  • well all your other names end in an "AH" sound - so yeah , Dylan doesn't really go - but whether that really bothers you is up to you and your husband
  • I love emmalynn not for sure how to spell it though.  I was watching Army WIves last night on Lifetime & that's one of the girls names.   We have Emerson Grace picked out for a girl & people usually associate it as a boys name but we love it!  She will be called Emmie for short.  Congrats on another girl!

  • it's your choice.  I like Dyla for a gurl, it's cute!  if you want a name that goes with the others, try Gabriella or something that ends in 'a'.
  • Congratulations on your little girl! I have a friend who's daughter is named Dylan. We're debating on girl names... mostly between Ava & Harper. I also had Maycee, Piper, Ali & Lexi on my girl name list.

  • All your other girls end in "a" so why not keep the tradition. I have heard of using Dylan for a girl, but think about that for a bit. When you register her for school, or anything really everyone is automatically going to assume she's a boy. That might be bothersome for her later in life. Just my thoughts.

  • I like the name Dylan for a girl.

The girl names we're considering are Sierra, Sophie (DH's choice) and Ainsley (my choice).

We were considering Sophie (the name of my beloved childhood dog), and our best friends (like, our son's middle name is their last name, kind of best friends) have a daughter named Ainsley!

    To OP:

I think Dylan is lovely.  I really liked Adele or Camille for a girl, but DH said no (if you want to stick with the vowel sound at the end), and we were planning on going with Harper for a girl (but we have a boy!).

  • We just decided on our name last night (in ticker). But, my very favorite name for a girl (DH didn't like itSad ) is Elliot. I love boy names for girls, so I say go for it if it's what you like!

  • I'd stick with it ending with an -ah sound since you're other four have that.

Here's what I could come up with
    Makenna
    Brenna
    Arianna
    Ava
    Selah
    Rebecca
