I am so mad at insr company......

My insr company is making me jump through hoops and holes to order my freaking shots of Depot Lupron. The pharmacy the rx got sent to got a denial. When I called the Rx services they say injectables are not covered under my prescrition plan but the provider can order it under medical and it will be covered. They may have to order through specialty pharmacy.

WTF?? what does that even mean....

  • I had the same thing happen to me. I had to go through Caremark to get my lupron. I was trying to get it through CVS and it kept getting denied even though my insurance covers it in full.

I had to call and set up an account and they sent it directly to my Dr.

Here's a link if it helps:

  • i have to use a special mail-order pharmacy called Triessent....they bill the injections like medical procedures (i.e. you have to get approval for the drug first)...

one the insurance co approves, triessent calls me and mail orders the drug...

the good thing is that if I hit my deductible for the year, the shots are free...
