Is 26 weeks too early? The one that they're offering the following month, when I'm 30 weeks, interferes with my baby shower, and 35 weeks feels like too late. Opinions?
I'll be 27 weeks when I take mine - I didn't have a whole lot of choice, cos the class previous to this one was full and I'm going with a friend who is due in December - she will hopefully have had her LO by the time the next one rolls around.
I'll be 27 weeks when I take my birthing class, 30 for CPR and 35 for breast feeding class. ?Don't worry, you can ask all the questions you need to at the hospital before you go home - in case you forget.
I signed up for 6 weeks of once-a-week classes. I will start when I am 28.5 weeks and finish at nearly 34 weeks. They suggest finishing classes 4-6 weeks before your due date, so the timing made sense. Plus it was the only time DH would not be traveling!

I'm planning on taking a 12 week Bradley Method course so I'll be starting around 24 or 25 weeks. I'm waiting to hear back from the instructor on class availability. DH and I will probably take a CPR course in November to avoid the holidays so I'll be around 28-29 weeks for that.
not taking any since this is the 2nd go round. i think 28 weeks sounds like a good enough time. i wouldn't want to do it past 33-34 weeks or so. and yes, you can ask tons of questions at the hospital, but the birthing classes are nice to alleviate fears. have fun!
We are starting at 24 weeks and the class runs 5 weeks. Its a bit earlier than I wanted but any other class would have taken me too far into my pregnancy.

I'm starting at 23w b/c I'm doing hypno-babies and a natural birth. With DS, I had a medicated hospital birth and started at 32w IIRC. It was 4w long and I was the least further along.
I will be almost 19 weeks when I start taking my 12 week Bradley Method class. The teacher in our area only offers them 2 times a year. I just hope I can remember it all when the delivery actually happens 3 months after the classes are over.
I'll be 33 weeks at the breastfeeding class, and 35 weeks at the childbirth class. I wanted to do this earlier, but all of the classes were already full (when I went to register a month ago).
Mine start 12/6 and end 12/20. I'm due 1/9/10. After reading everyone's comments, mine may be a little to close to the due date? I just thought that the closer it was to the date, the less likely I would be to forget the info.
I am taking mine at the hospital and they usually want you to take them around 7 months. I am scheduled to start mine at wk 30 since they offer the classes every five weeks. They said 25 was too early and 35 wks was too late so thats how it came to be. Mine are 3 classes, 1 every week.
Ours start at 27 weeks. My doc recommended anytime after 26 weeks and since we have the holidaze to contend with we decided to schedule ours before Thanksgiving. We figure that it gives us plenty of time to "practice." We're doing an accelerated Bradley Method class (a private instructor who does four lessons/week for three weeks rather than one a week for 12 weeks).
Re: When are you guys taking childbirth classes?
I'll be 34 weeks when I take mine. I would have liked to take it around 30 weeks, but it just didn't work out with my schedule.
34 weeks - childbirth class (all day class)
