We're not team green but the tech for our 3d/4d asked us MULTIPLE times if we wanted to know. You should be fine. Just make it CLEAR to them that you don't want to know.
I really want to get one done and I know they say they will just stay on the face, but I am just to nervous to risk it. What happens if the baby makes a fast move or something and you see a penis or vagina staring right at you? I feell like we waited this long and I don't want to ruin it...just my opinon but if you go have fun!
I've had a few... 3 with DS #1 and they couldn't even get to his boy parts to show us... and 2 with DS #2 (obviously I'm not team green) and she had to really work to change positions since they try to focus on the face for 3D u/s.
I would think you would be safe. If you want - I would ask them to set it up first so they know they are on the face and then turn the TV on for you to see...
It's really a neat experience and I think you will enjoy it.
Warning, stupid question: Is it possible to guess the sex just from looking at the face? Do babies have a more girly or boyish look to them? Or would most think it's impossible to tell?
we had one done a little over a week ago- the tech was really great about only staying on the face area. we didn't see anything that could have given it away during th scan and it was so much fun!

the OP is 36 weeks along, at that point, there is very limited space for baby to flip around and such, so i think the chances of that happening are pretty slim. sure the baby moves, but huge dramatic moves at that point are more unlikely.

I have wondered the same....
As team green, I am not getting a 3D/4D ultrasound because I've waited this long and if we found out now it would be so uneventful! I just don't want to take the chance on ruining that very special moment that we will never forget...

Not team green but just let them know and they won't show that part... most likely stay on the face & hands then feet.
