XP: Traveling with thawed milk?

We are heading to Church today and plan on taking a bottle with us. ?All of our pumped milk is frozen so I plan on thawing it under water, but the Medela info that I have says that it can't be stored in the cooler with the ice pack or at room temperature. ?So, what am I suppose to do with it until we need it later on?!

I keep the milk cool with an ice pack or leave it sit at room temp if I know I'll use it within a few hrs
