3rd Trimester

What's the craziest "nesting project" you have done so far?

I have cleaned out some pretty odd places around the house "just because" in little "have to nest" fits. This morning, as I was perched on the kitchen counter (very safely!) so that I could clean out the food cabinet and move the wine glasses higher up to "make cabinet room for baby", I thought perhaps I had finally gone too far. =) But, really, he is going to need room for his dishes and feeding accessories.....eventually. =)

  • Oh honey, my list is so long ... we're practically re-arranging our whole house!!

And I can't wait to get into my cabinets and re-arrange them all ... ;D

    I understand!!

  • Mine's not a cleaning thing but a craft project I had to do for the nursery. I spent 4-5 hours cutting scrapbook paper into 1 inch squares to make a frame for her name (once we decide on her name) that will go over the crib. Here's a picture:

  • I went through every box in the basement and organized it.  My feet were very swollen afterwards.

  • I went grocery shopping at 6:30 this morning.  I woke up feeling that the house needed to be stocked with food right away :)

LOL! I am already getting the urge to stock up on as many "DH Friendly" meals as possible. In other words, food that I can eat...but he can prepare! =)

  • I decided that all of the trim in our house which is white was just disgusting and needed to be hand scrubbed.  DH found me scooting my big self around on the floor with a little bowl of soapy water and a sponge going to town. haha.  He just backed away slowly after realizing he couldnt talk me out of it.

  • I decided at 39w3d that after doing all the "basic" house cleaning, all our baseboards needed to be hand scrubbed, our floors needed to be steam cleaned, yards needed mowing and edged with the weedeater and all flower bed were weeded out. Yes, all by about 1 pm in one day.

  • I cleaned out and washed every single cupboard and the pantry in my kitchen.  I boxed up all the stuff I don't use, threw out all the food we won't eat and moved everything around to make room for baby.

Now it's super organized, but I don't remember where I moved things to.

  • I cleaned out a walk in closet in the basement where we keep all our Christmas decorations & cleaned out all the kitchen cabinets (I didn't think about making space for the baby's stuff in one of the cabinets, time to re-organize Smile) I'm still feeling pretty ambitious & I want to clean out the storage room in basement but I'm waiting for DH so he can lift the heavy boxes. He better get on it before I'm as big as a house & he ends up doing it himself while I supervise!

I keep stockpiling things like toilet paper, paper towels, toiletries, etc. in our big closet under the stairs. You know, so we won't have to leave the house to go shopping as much after she's born.

  • I cleaned the living room ceiling.

    ?

    yeah....?

  • I took out all the storage boxes that have been in my closets, under my bed, etc, and ended up with about 4 or 5 trash bags full of stuff I decided I didn't need anymore.  (and it was literally trash, nothing I could donate or else I would have).

  • I got sick of looking at the weeds growing around my patio last weekend (32 weeks), so I put a towel on my skateboard and wheeled myself around pulling the buggers out in the 95 degree heat. I thought my husband was going to kill me :)
