3 vs 3T? What's the difference?

Does anyone know the difference between 3 and 3T from Gymboree?

3T is supposed to be a little shorter and wider, made to leave room for diapers still even.. Whereas, the 3s are made longer and leaner.

 

ETA- at least that's what I"ve always been told.

This.  If your 3 year old is still in diapers/pull ups, get the 3T, otherwise the 3 will be fine. 

I have heard what the above poster said from Gymbo employees.
