Sneaking over to ask a teething question...

Did anyone's LO ever get a teething cold?  DS has been seriously teething for about a week now (we can see it and feel it, but it hasn't cut through) 

So he has been really congested yesterday and today and my pedi's nurse told me today on the phone it was most likely a teething cold.  I'd never heard of that before and thought I'd come on here to ask the "experts"

    DS did have a runny nose the week before his tooth cut. It is true that babies produce more saliva when they teeth and this can cause problems. But, I think "teething" is an excuse for everything.  If your baby is drooling, runny nose, not sleeping, trouble eating, fussy, name the problem, someone will tell you that your LO is teething!
