Ease my mind: tell me about your EMB/colposcopy

I have never had an abnormal pap before and now they want to do a colposcopy and an EMB since the abnormal cells are at the opening of my uterus. 

I am nervous.  And more nervous something is going to be wrong.  I need that uterus to grow more babies!

Carson Henry, born 39w, 2d, via emergency c/s due to no fetal movement and fetal distress.  Seizures, IVH grade 2, brain injury, kidney and liver damage.  Complete blood clot in the artery in his right arm.  27 days in the NICU.  Now discharged from all specialists, excepts his kidney doctor, who will monitor him indefinitely.  My tough little cookie.

    I have Ulcerative Colitis and have had my fare share of colonoscopies. To be honest, the worst part was getting the IV. Afterwards drink something carbonated and lay on your left side, that will help get all of the air that gets pushed up there out. Im sure everything will be fine and theyr'e just being cautious. GL!

    I had one, it was similar to a pap smear. That procedure was followed by cyrosurgery, which was pretty uncomfotable.

    This is before I got pregnant and everything is perfectly fine now.

    They told me to take some pain meds before I come - do you think I will be ok to go to work after?
