Scared and worried

So last week I went to the doctor and they found I was a fingertip dilated. I have been going every week to the doctor anyway to get my 17P shots and every 2 weeks I get my cervical length checked. Well after finding I was just a little dilated even though they said it was probably because I already had a baby they told me they wanted me to be checked every week. I went this morning and the midwife checked me and said my cervix felt like it was thinning. She told me to stay in bed for the rest of the weekend and not to work on Monday. I go back Tuesday morning  to the doctor for a cervical length check.

I am just so worried and scared. I am only 25 weeks and I know this baby needs more time before he or she comes. I had DS at 34 weeks and was really hoping this time I would be able to carry until at least 36, 37. I would love to be able to carry until 40!

I told my midwife today that my bladder was a little full when she checked me and asked if that could effect how my cervix felt and she said yes, but didn't tell me to empty my bladder so she could check me again.

Tuesday seems likes years away. I just want them to check my cervix length for piece of mind. I am so nervous.

Sorry to sound like a wreck.... I know you ladies understand.

Also I should mention my FFN test came back negative last week and I know those arent 100% accruate so I am just terrifed of going into labor anytime soon.

Please send T & Ps my way.

Thanks ladies.

Re: Scared and worried

  • T & P's coming your way.

There are a lot of girls on here who can give you success stories on how bed rest bought them lots more time. I know it will not be easy with a little one at home - but anything to keep the baby in longer!!! Hopefully someone will chime in soon and tell you how they bought some time. A girl in your similar situation was induced last night after being on bed rest since 23 weeks. She made it all the way to 38!!!!!!  So I will be crossing my fingers for you!  Best of luck!
