Help with no sippy at sleepytime?

When does your DC drink their milk? She usually gets two 8 ounce sippies - one at nap time, and one at bed time. Because if I give them to her before she goes in her room, she just sets it down and does other things. I want to stop putting it in the crib with her though. Can you tell me what time your LO gets their milk, if it doesn't include being in their crib? She STTN, so she doesn't get up in the middle of the night for it.

  • We have the same issue. She is too busy to drink it before she lays down so we have to give it to her in the crib.

    So I'm SFL :)

  • As part of our bedtime routine, DD gets a sippy while we read her a story.

  • We sit with DS and rock while he has milk first thing in the AM and last thing before bed.

  • After each meal.  He will sit in his high chair and drink it.

  • DS gets one 8 oz sippy when he wakes up in the morning.  He sits on my lap while I nest. :)

He gets another 8 oz sippy about 30-60 minutes after dinner (about an hour before bed).  We go for a walk in the stroller and he drinks it there.  On days that we can't walk, I hold him in his rocking chair while he drinks.  Those are the only two places that he'll stay still and actually drink the milk.

  • I apparently have a milk-aholic... thank god he eats too!  He gets a sippy when he wakes up that carries him into breakfast, one with lunch and one with dinner.  Then he gets just a little bit before bed (while DH is reading him his bedtime story) since he doesn't care about it too much then but I want to offer him something before bed.  For snacks I'll give him water.

DS is also a milkaholic, which is why we limit his intake to 16 oz a day.  He will only drink milk if we give him more than that.  He would drink milk all day long and never eat any solids again if we let him!
