Oh gosh I hope not but I keep thinking when mine comes back it's going to come back with a vengence, like it sounds like yours has!!! DD is 9 1/2 months and I haven't gotten my period yet. I am still nursing morning and night but cut my pumping down to once a day so I think mine will be returning sooner than later!
Mine was. I almost called the ob b/c I was scared at how much I was bleeding. It was also a lot longer than before pregnancy, and I got 2 periods in 1 month b/c of my birthcontrol.
It suuuucked, but then it was over and now af is actually better than before I had ds.
My first was heavy and yesterday the second was just as heavy. Like adult diaper heavy. OK, not that bad, but pretty bad. And I had to pop a Motrin for the cramps. Bleah.
My first period was awful....just like what you are describing. However, after that they have resumed to some sort of "normal". GL!
Mine was the same way-super bad-used those massive pad/diaper things from the hospital that can soak up gallons it seemed and STILL had to change them constantly. Oh, and mine definitely lasted for weeks-but was definitely more watery than normal. Once that was over everything was fine!
Mine are just like you are describing. I have only had 3 and so far 2 have been out of control. They usually start out really light for like 2 days and then it is like the damn has been opened. It does this for like 2-3 days and then it just stops.
Re: Is the first period pp always a nightmare? Maybe tmi...
