How was your beach/shore experience?

With LO??? I remember my little nephew was freaked out by the sand and would not leave the blanket! lol

It was great.  DS loved the sand - he kept putting his hands in it and then tried to eat it.  He also loved the water.  We had an inflatable pool that we sat him in with his toys.

DD was really good at the beach.  She did ok with the sand.  She didn't love it but she would sit on it and play with it.  The ocean scared her sometimes.  I guess it's loud and coming towards her, so I guess I can understand.  But overall, she did very well.  I was impressed.

We spent a week at the beach and DD was 8 months old. ?She loved it! ?We had a large tent we could sit under and bought a little baby pool that we filled up and sat under the tent. ?It allowed her to stay outside longer but not be in the sun and stay cool. ?She wasn't crazy about the sand but would play with it between her fingers. ?We would go out around 9am, she would take her morning nap under the tent, we would go in for lunch and stay inside until 4/5pm (depending on her afternoon nap) and then go to the pool for an hour or so before dinner. ?She slept so good! ?

Every baby responds differently. ?I remember one of my cousins hated the beach until he was 4. ?We just went with the attitude that we would be flexible and there was a high likelihood that the entire trip would be spent at the pool (we knew she loved the pool already). ?She did better than expected and we had a great trip. ?GL!!

We also took her mesh feeder and put frozen fruit and even ice cubes in it for her to eat on the beach/at the pool. ?I think it helped her to stay hydrated. ?

He was indifferent. ?We only spent 2 hours max on the beach each day because he couldn't nap there. ?But we brought an inflatable pool to the house and filled that up on the deck so he could swim after nap time. ?
