TTC after 35

XP: When to stop B6?

I'm currently weaning my son and was concerned about possibly having low progesterone due to the BFing factor.  I started taking B6 this month and TTC after my early loss this month.

I've googled this but found nothing on when to stop taking the B6 with my PNV's.  I didn't consult my OB when starting to take it and she won't do testing w/o any other losses. Obviously if it happens again, I'm going to plant myself in front of her practice until she does.  If/when we do conceive again, do I stop immediately upon a BFP or wait until when?

I posted this on TTCAL but wanted feedback from my peers, too.  Thank you for any insight that you may provide. Happy Friday to you all!

Re: XP: When to stop B6?

  • I don't think you need to stop.  Your body only uses as much B6 as you need, then you pee out the excess, so no risk of overdose....

  • You don't need to stop. I took B6 throughout my entire first pregnancy, along with a bunch of other vitamins and PNV. I plan on doing the same again the second time (fingers crossed for that).
