TTC After a Loss

Girls that have done RPL panel......

What all did they check?  Was it just a lot of bloodwork?

This is our next step.  We already have insurance approval, so yay for that!

The nurse said once levels get back down then we'll start it but I didn't know if it's a long process or what not.

Any input?

Thank you!

Re: Girls that have done RPL panel......

  • the RPL work that I had done was about 1 million vials of blood!  OK ~ maybe 15.... but alot.

That's all I've had so far.

  • Lots and lots of blood..  :(  It showed that I have homozygous MTHFR.  I had to wait about two weeks for my results..

  • What do they do for homozygous MTHFR?

Do they take all the blood at once?  Did you get sick?

Sorry for all the questions.  I don't do well with blood draws and really not looking forward to that part, but am ready to find out why my stupid body won't hold a pregnancy.

  • lots and lots of blood work. I think I had to have blood drawn on 3 occasions (I did Clomid challenge at same time) - each draw was 10-15 vials. They check everything from levels to chromosomal abnormalities.

  • Same as PP--lots of vials. About 12 I think.

I think this is everything the RPL checks for (it was what my daughter's specialists suggested my doc test me for). Also, I don't know why your doc wants to wait till your levels are down...I've had the RPL twice, once while NOT PG and once the day after I found out our baby hadn't made it (before D&C). Personally, I'd prefer to do it while PG since some of those things can be brought on by PG and not show when you're not PG. Make sense? Sorry, I ramble.
