We are going to the beach this weekend and have a four hour road trip ahead of us. DD has been potty training for about two weeks now and is doing awesome. She is in panties all day and Pull-Ups for nap and bed. She has had a couple of accidents at daycare but nothing out of the ordinary.
I was thinking about putting her in Pull-Ups for the trip but I don't want her to regress. We ahve the potty already in the car and do plan on stopping a couple of times to see if she has to go. Just thought that it would be easier to have a Pull-Up just in case.
Any thoughts? TIA!
Re: Potty training::long car ride and Pull-Ups
Ditto. That's what we did when DS was first PT'd. We got a "piddle pad" for the carseat. We still use it b/c sometimes he spills a drink on the seat & it's easier to wash the pad than the carseat cover.
We're in the same situation. We have a 4 hour car ride to the lake this Sunday. I bought some Puppy Pads to put down in DD's car seat and several extra changes of clothes.
She's in panties at home but pull-ups at daycare because she's more distracted and isn't as good about going potty as she is when she's home.
I put a waterproof lap pad in the carseat with a cloth diaper folded on top. It's always under her in the car, even for short trips.
And DD has used the potty on the side of the road several times... somehow she usually manages to wait until we're only 10 minutes away from our destination before needing to go, but once she says she has to go I know she means NOW. Fun times.
