NBR: Whats your favorite place to stay in Vegas?

I am going to Vegas for a conference in September. I have not been in FOREVER. In the past I have stayed in the Mirage, Treasure Island, Imperial Palace (SLUMMING for a bachelorette party) Venetian (LOVE) and MGM Grand (blah). Right now I am finding the best rates at Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock and the Palms.

Whats your go to hotel ... where should I stay?? Anyone have any good coupon codes??

Love the Bellagio - we are going in October and staying at Treasure Island. I got some great rates through Expedia.

The Palms and Hard Rock are great but they are off the strip and for some reason that bothers me. I like to be on the strip.

I really liked the Rio but again that one is off the strip so that was the only draw back for me.

I prefer Mandalay Bay, Venetian, Mirage, in that order.  The only other I have stayed at was MGM and I hated it there.  The rest were great.

yeah I love the bellagio too. wish we could stay there!! I agree with the annoyance of the palms and hard rock being off the strip...but I do enjoy gambling at hard rock.

Ditto, loved the Luxor. We stayed at Excalibur once too but not nearly as nice.

Loved the Hard Rock  BUT....it is far from the strip and the walk was in a very sketchy area..we even had a guy run past us that the cops were chasing (in the middle of the day), so plan to take cabs if you stay there.   Also they have limited hours on their pool is the fall and winter which is when we were there, and the pool is one of the best parts of that hotel.

I've only been once, and we stayed at the Bellagio.  Ahhh-ma-zing!

I love Planet Hollywood, it's a pretty young crowd.  The rooms were great, we had a panorama suite that was amazing with great views of the fountains at Bellagio.

humm...I am actually finding the best deal at PH with guaranteed views of the fountain. Maybe I will just book there.

I would, all the rooms are completly redone.  It was really a lot of fun there.  I've stayed at several on the strip and PH was my fav.  I also like the location on the strip, it's pretty much in the middle of it.

Mandalay....but that is the only one that I've stayed at of that status.  We usually stay much cheaper like Luxor...Excalibur...

I've stayed at Bellagio, Caesar's, Mirage, Bally's and Harrah's and I liked Harrah's the best, as far as casino and atmosphere goes.  Rooms, Bellagio and Caesar's are the best.

I would def say stay at PH. The vibe is so young and hip. I like pretty much everything. We (my dh, fam, friends and wedding guests) stayed there for our wedding weekend and we were all very pleased. I was actually there a few days ago and the rooms are great and redone, the pool is cool and the mall is nice.
