Stasa started waking in the middle of the night, but didn't seem hungry, just crying.  I tried giving her a couple of ounces of water and that put her right to sleep.  Are you feeding him every time he wakes up?

    not *every* time, but if he keeps it up i do feed him.  I haven't thought of the water thing.  But do you think that's maybe just reinforcing "I cry, and you will give me something"  sort of thing?   this is all confusing me!

    Yeah, I'm not sure either, but at least DH can help with the water "feeding".  I think sometimes she just wants to suck on something, but doesn't want a pacifier. 

    The only plus is that you've got such a great demand, you shouldn't have supply issues.

    Mod, FWIW, I kept putting it off for the same reasons.  Then we went to visit my parents and went out one night.  Grandma did it for me and she has never cried more than 10 minutes before falling asleep.  So I had myself all psyched out for  nothing.
