Babies: 9 - 12 Months

S/O these BFP's

I read somewhere that after your first baby, conceiving # 2 tends to be easier. I think that's an OWT but who knows anymore. So if you have more than one DC did you find this the case? We had a very hard time concieving DD....

Definitely was the case for me. #1 took 10 months. #2 was a total surprise, and I'd only had 2 PP periods.

OTOH, my good friend had an easy time with #1 and had to use IVF for #2.  You never know.

  • It was definitely easier w/ #2.  With D, we actively tried for 6 months (and had about 6 months before that not necessarily trying, just not protecting), charting, OPKs, w/ "perfect timing" before I conceived D.  With #2, I had one postpartum period, then we had sex a whopping one time! and then I got my BFP.  It is a little crazy.
  • I have heard this as well. While I wouldn't call our attempt at conceiving DD difficult - it did take us a while and I was on medication. It could have been a lot worse. I am under the notion that #2 could happen easily.
  • DD1 wasn't hard at all.  I stopped the pill on my wedding night, and she was conceived a few months later, without tracking anything.  DD2 was even easier.  We weren't even trying to get pg.  I consider myself very lucky.
  • yup! that was the case for me! We had a very difficult time conceiving my son so when we decided to start ttc #2 we started a little earlier than when we really wanted to get pg thinking that it would take a long time again. We were wrong and i got pregnant the first month!
