Need Advice re: Traveling w/LO while DH is oot on business

DH is going to be out of town for a little over a week at the end of September.  He suggested that maybe I could go up to my mom's house for that time.  Last time we were home for a week, it was just a little too long, it totally stressed me out and made me get really frustrated with my mother.  I would like for my mom and my grandmother to see DS, but I just don't know if I can handle the stress from that particular trip again.  I could go for a shorter amount of time, but then I would think that it's not really worth it to spend the money on the ticket, travel there (having to change planes in ATL), and have to deal with getting DS back on track with sleep when we get back.

I asked my mom if she wanted to come down for the weekend, but she can't that weekend.

Ugh, I don't want to stay here by myself for a week (I CAN do it, just don't WANT to), but I don't really want to travel, either...

WDYT?  TIA!  Smile

  • Do you have friends locally?  I'd just book up my week w/ plans w/ friends.  this weekend, my DH is going away Fri - Mon.  I do NOT want to spend the whole weekend at home alone.  Friday night a friend is coming over.  Saturday I'm going over to another friends house and probably spending the night (she has all the stuff for a baby, so it's super easy to do!)  Sunday- I'll still be at my friends house and will either hang there or come home.

Just book up the time w/ stuff to do to help it pass.

  • Ugh.  A whle week alone?  But yet, I hear you on traveling.  I actually think I would deal w/ being alone all week vs. traveling (w/ a plane change) w/ DS at his age right now.
