Ugh: avoidance, by sick kid

I have a friend whose son and my DS are very close in age and we both SAH.  Nearly every time I make plans with this friend, my DS gets sick (sometimes just teething fevers but I don't like to have him around other kids when he's not well).  I am constantly cancelling and rescheduling on this friend and I feel terrible about it.  I don't want to her to think I am blowing her off...I always apologize and she seems okay, but if someone did this to me all the time I'd probably start to think they were avoiding me.

I would actually be grateful you were considerate enough to cancel.

I have issues with my mom's group sometimes--they tend to think if it's "just a cold" it is A-OK to bring them.  And then it turns out to be something extra yucky...grrrr....
