When did most of you switch car seats. My daughter is 9 months but she is really tiny. Not short but tiny (only 15 lbs). She seems to still fit in the Graco snugride, but is their an age when you are just supposed to switch? I know the answer is online, but you ladies are experts so I thought I would ask.
Re: Another convertible carseat question?
I have the Chicco Keyfit and it is similar to the Snug Ride. The limit on our seat is either 22 pounds or 30 inches in height, whatever they hit first.
Check the manual on yours to see specifics, but it's probably pretty similar to this.
DD is also small, about 16.5 lbs. She could have stayed in her Chicco up to 30 pounds, but length wise she was looking a little cramped. We just decided it was time to move on, especially since we rarely left her in her infant seat when we would be out and about.
She is MUCH happier in her new seat.
I would keep them in the infant seat as long as they fit!
DS hit the height limit for his chicco keyfit 30 at just over 7m. I would have LOVED for him to stay in there for a full year or more.
DD has only been in a convertible for about a week, and I have to admit that there have already been a few times when I wished she was still in her infant seat for MY convenience. So if it makes your life easier and she's comfy enough, maybe wait until she hits the limit.
