Are the pregnancy tests at the dr's office more reliable than the ones in the store?

I am a nurse, but I dont work in OB/GYN.  I dont believe that the urine test is any more reliable than what you can buy in the store, but dont quote me on it.

2x in the last week I have come accross people who had the docs test be LESS accurate.  They were told sometimes they buy the chepest ones at the docs.  I don't work in OB.  I am sure an OB has better tests than a GP.

I am a fertility nurse and no, the ones in our office are not any better than the ones in the store.

But we don't use urine pregnancy tests, only a blood test because we are looking for a quantitative result to ensure that everything is ok.
