Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

My husband isn't a rock star?

He is a patent examiner, I have mentioned this on numerous occasions.  Where the hell did the rock star thing come from? There was a question once as to what your husband's dream job would be and I said rock star.

As for the private school thing, I grew up in NYC it came up in conversation. And I was happy to give a certain Nestie info about admissions to the school.

As for the hiring thing, I was being on honest, some people got it and their responses prove it others didn't.  I am not HR, my butt is on the line when I hire people for a project, it sucks but that is life.  I dared post a flameful opinion.  It will probably change when my life has more flexibility.  But I don't deny what I said.

  • I was wondering when you would see that

  • And for those who are curious about the cleaning lady.  I once asked if someone had suggestions of cleaning projects for her as we were going away for a month and she wanted to keep working (she comes once a week) opposed to using her paid vacation.  But for the life of me I don't know what is strange about that.
  • Which one?  Everything was so long ago...  But the post that prompted this is slightly below ;)
  • you've been here long enough to know that this type of post wont help your cause.

i doubt people will forget about this for quite a while but just post normally if you intend to stick around. otherwise you are edging yourself toward a full scale nest meltdown where you have a 'u dont know my lyfe' type fit. which is kinda what you are doing now...so you are well on your way.

  • I think your husband is a rockstar.  Not in the literal sense of the word but still, he's a rock star.  You forgot to mention also that you're going to be a cooking television star.

PS I just looked up the bristish school...if we do stick around here another few years, we'll be shelling out 10,000 euros a year for him to go to pre-school.

  • I didn't say how much tuition cost, someone looked on the school's website.

As for the British School pre-school this is something you can negotiate with KPMG about if you were to stay.  Generally it is part of the standard package and I would be shocked if they denied the request.  The American School in Amsterlveen is also quite good.

they don't pay until 4 when it's a requirement for them to go to school.

  • You know I don't think you're crazy, Euro.  And since you're getting flamed for info you provided to me, I'll fess up to being the nestie that asked about ECFS. I'm a little surprised that people cared enough to look up the tuition amounts. LOL. People have too much time on their hands.  Eh, I don't see why people care where you went to school or where people plan to send their children, but whatever.

  • #1 - Didn't care enough to look up tuition amounts. I looked up the school because it had an interesting name AND I am 'fascinated' (for lack of a better word) by the whole growing up in NYC/private school/UES lifestyle. So I googled the school and checked it out. Don't try make it more than it is, it would be foolish to do so.

#2 - I am completely put off by what you posted yesterday. It seems just so very wrong on so many levels and I'm confused by what you expected the reaction to it to be? I mean it's not like you posted it on a Popular Mechanics message board. This is a message board frequented by woman in the reproductive prime FFS. Come on, you have to know your audience.

I think Euro may actually not get it. Many of her posts leave me scratching my head. Remember when she lectured everyone about not eating right? yeah. Not the most self-aware person on here that is for sure.

I imagine she's commented on many a non existant pregnancy.
