I was cooking dinner yesterday, and he pulls out a spatula from the drawer and tries to help by reaching his little arm up to the food to stir it.
After dinner, I was sweeping the floor, and he takes the dust pan from me and tries again to help mommy out.
It was really cute. Didn't think chores could start this early. ; )
Does your DC try and help you out, too?
Re: Does your DC like to "help" you?
I'm hoping this is a developmental thing that we have just not reached yet because DD does the opposite. She loves throwing clean clothes onto the floor. And she wants all the clean tuperware out of the dishwasher so she can put it on the floor and sit in it.
In her defense, we do keep the Swiffer Sweeper out with the handle shortened to her size. She gets quite a bit of dirt and dog hair up that way.
Yes! He especially loves to help with yard work- he has his own gardening set and helps me water the garden, pick weeds, etc.
He just started doing this as of last week. He would pick up his toys and other items before that, but as of last week he found a interest in wanting to help with the 'chores' of the house.?
Yes! In fact, I just posted a bunch of pictures on my blog last night of him "helping" his Daddy topdress the yard.
He also likes to help me with laundry, dishes, sweeping and especially vacuuming!
