How much does a tummy tuck cost?

Because I'm starting to save today. I am so over my stomach. I never had a rock star stomach by any means, but this pouch of stretchmark covered flab disgusts me. I am training for a freaking marathon and doing 200 crunches a night, combined with core workouts once a week, and yet it's still there, just flapping in the breeze. Once I pump out that last kid, I am totally having it cut off.

  • I read somewhere (probably on here so it must be true :) that some women can never have a six pack no matter what.  I am with you.  I still have a HUGE abdominal separation from dd that hasn't healed dispite every stupid transverse exercise I have done.  If I have to have that repaired I might just have to have them do a little work on the old tummy too.

On all the plastic surgery shows they have some girl go in for a tummy tuck and the doctor starts bashing the poor girls thighs, boobs, hips and bam...$20,000 she has a new look.

  • You will laugh but my friend, a mom of 2 both via c-section, swears by strippercise. It was the only thing to get rid of her c-section pouch as she called it.
  • So perhaps I should invest in a pole first and see how that goes.
  • I already have a plastic surgeon lined up for mine, because I'm done once baby #2 (finally) arrives, and I am SO not living with this belly for the rest of my life!  He's top of the line and expensive, and he quoted me $8,000.  It probably varies by doctor and by region.  My sister got a tummy tuck AND breast implants for $6,000...and let's just say that you can tell that she took the lowest bid.  She's not happy with the results.  I'll fork over the cash for a job well done.

  • My thoughts exactly!!!!!!  After a year and a half of pilates, running, weights etc. I give up!  At first I had some hope that it would just take some time, but now we're talking about ttc #2 and I truly think my stomach will never go back to the way it looked before having kids.  ::::::::::sigh::::::::::::::::
