What is the very best toilet cleaner?  I mean deep clean hard water stains and such...?

I've always used Comet, I suppose because thats how I was taught. I've had great luck with the clorox bleach tablets in the back of the tank.

If it's really bad, maybe pour some bleach in there and close the lid overnight, scrub after it sits?

Well, as far as cleaners go, I use Kaboom or Lysol deep clean.

For hard water stains try a pumis (sp?) stone. It won't scratch the bowl but it will get the stains up.

I had to run look at the bottle. It's called Bowl Blaster. Ben calls it Bowel Blaster. It foams up and cleans all our hard water stains and ring around the potty. It doesn't smell all chemically either.
