Holy crap talk about expensive

Maybe I'm living in my own world...but is this not expensive?! I called a cake company in town to see how much it would cost to get 100 cookies with a simple pirate design and the cookies are not bigger than the palm of my hand (not including fingers) and it would be 400 BUCKS! are sh!tting me?! thats insane! Yes....i will not be lazy and will be making my own.

Off topic, I'm jealous that you got to move to SA. I lived there for a 1.5 years and have been trying to get back ever since. I still have my TX Drivers License AND TX plates on my car and I've been gone for three years. I'm holding out hope that we will get back there soon. Sigh.

Sounds to me like they don't want to do it but if they get the order they are going to make it worth their while. Lol.  I wouldn't pay that.  You know those raw cookie dough tubes from pillsbury or something like that, at easter they have bunnies or carrots etc.  maybe they have a pirate one that you just have to slice and bake?

Not sure how specifically pirate you need, but I was at Sam's Club today and they had cupcakes where each one had a different "Pirates of the Caribbean" picture.

That is highway robbery.  $4 a cookie!!!!  You could easily make yourself a stencil of a pirate ship and dust colored sugar over sugar cookies to decorate them.  Wouldn't take you more than a few seconds per cookie.

I too am jealous you are living in SA. I grew up there but live in stinky old Maryland now. I was just in Lytle all last week visiting my parents and sister. I miss it.

That's high, even for here in Chicago.  Most iced cookies I see in bakeries are $2 or $2.50 max for that size

 I just told them a simple pirate design...i didn't even specify.she said they charge for colored icing and stuff like that....i should have known...the cakes they have are awesome.
