IUI-How many follies?

So I'm on CD6 doing Follistim and IUI (most likely trigger Sat/Sun). Right now I have 6 follicles ranging ffrom 8-10mm on my right and 7 follies on my left ranging from 7-9mm. Is that normal? The nurse says everything looks but, that seems like alot of follicles! I'm sure some won't mature as much and others will...

What size follies did you have and how many?

i ended up with only 3 that were close to mature..only one was mature..and that was at CD 10ish? gosh i can't remember ;P i know i did start out with a good amount, but a lot of them didn't mature. All three of my mature ones too though  

when do you go back for another check?

i meant to say at time of trigger only 3 were close..1 was, and the other 2 caught up by the time i O'd

My successful IUI, I had 3, possibly 4 follies that were considered mature (over 15mm) at time of trigger.  One wonderful baby was the result!

I go back on Thurs, then Saturday! Just wanted to see what you guys thought-this is our first iui/injectable cycle so we're still learning!

I had 4 follies when I became pg with twins. My RE said the follies generally grow about 1cm/day. Are they lowering your dose of Follistim to try to prevent the smaller ones from growing? Whats the maximum you and your doctor are comfortable having when you trigger?
