I don't have any specific info on this... however, let me just say the TTTC board was a lifesaver for me when I was TTC. The ladies on TTTC are incredibly supportive. I don't think I could have gotten through everything without that board for support. You learn so much and form good friendships with girls who completely understand where you are coming from and what you are going through. I really reccomend it! PCOS sucks... I am sorry you have to go through this. (((HUGS)))

Soulcysters.net has some good info and a nestie (katienrack I believe but I could defintely be wrong) has a TON and I mean a TON of info on PCOS and she posts a weekly check in on TTTC and here as well.
I think the first step is to run some baseline tests with your OB or RE depending on who you are working with. Find out if you are ovulating; some women with PCOS ovulate but show other symptoms while others (like myself) do not. You could try temping and charting (I did for a while and it showed me what I already knew - that I wasnt ovulating).
My OB also ordered an HSG (the xray to see if your tubes are clear) before giving me clomid and she also ordered a SA for DH. I got PG that time buthad an mc. It's also important to know that PCOS'ers have a much higher mc rate than normal because of the hormonal effects on your eggs so you might want to discuss the benefits of using metformin with your dr.
Good luck

PCOS sucks!!! Metformin is worth the initial stomach discomfort, though. With it, I was able to lose weight, eventually ovulate, and get knocked up.
Soulcysters and www.pcoscommunity.com are good boards. Just don't get too caught up in the gloom and doom, many women with PCOS are still able to conceive and carry children full term.
If you have any PCOS-related questions, feel free to ask me. I've been diagnosed since '07, so I've educated myself a lot about it.
As far as stress...you're going to stress out about it, no matter what. Just make sure that you take good care of yourself. Get enough sleep, eat healthy, exercise, etc. Doing that helped me feel better about myself.
The other girls have given you great advice. I also wanted to say that I had great luck with the South Beach Diet (plus metformin). I only gained about 15-20 lbs from PCOS, but it was enough to really affect me. I got pregnant the cycle after I lost 10 lbs on South Beach, and both my doctor and I agreed it was a contributing factor.
I don't have any scientific answers for you but if it helps, my sister and I both have really severe PCOS and a thyroid disorder and it took a long time and a little help, but my neice is now 9 months old and I'm due to have a baby in April. It can happen. I honestly think the best place for you will be in the trouble ttc forum. Those ladies are awesome and so helpful.
Also, if you're not already on Metformin, then you might think about asking your doctor about it. Metformin worked for me. Just a thought. Good luck.
