Hi! I'm trying to figure out which one to get, the genie or diaper champ, or none at all as I've had mixed reviews on whether or not they are worth it. I'd appreciate any feedback! Thanks!

We have the Diaper Champ and I really like it, especially because you can just buy regular medium sized bags at the grocery store. You don't have to buy bags specially made for it like the Genie. It keeps the odor out for the most part - unless DD has an unusually large poop.
We have the Genie and really like it. It has never smelled in his nursery yet and he has had some stinky poos. It will smell if you open it, but goes away once it is closed again. However, you do have to buy the special bag inserts and then tie off these long baggies of diapers & poo. Yuck; I make Dh does this chore...
My DS's poops are still odorless, but being a nanny before getting pg, I decided on not getting any type of pail. Once he starts solids and his poops start smelling I'm just going to use ziplocs (I usually just get target brand). We take the garbage out about once per day anyway (sometimes we skip a day) and I've found ziplocs really hold in the smell, so I think that'll work for us.
I got a Genie for my shower and returned it after three people told me it was going to stink. I just put his poopie diapers in the plastic bag the newspaper comes in and put it in the garage trash. I can put his pee diapers in the regular trash and they don't stink. I have found this works just fine and saved space in his room.
I vote for the Diaper Dekor (which, obviously, wasn't even one of your choices). I have it and I think it's great. Actually, I have the Dekor Plus which is just a bigger size because of my twins. And actually I have two - one in the nursery and one in our family room next to the PNP. The poopie diapers are really disgusting smelling anymore (we have been on solids over 2 months now) and I NEVER EVER get any odor from them. You do have to buy special bags, but they last forever and are super, super easy to change. I highly recommend them.
