HI ladies,

Ive been on 20 mg of procardia every six hrs for the last 6 weeks due to preterm labor. I will be stopping it cold turkey thursday am at 930..  anyone have any side effects after stopping it?  Ive been on strict bed rest since 22wks gestation, and once  I stop the meds I get to resume some activity since I told my dr that I get winded walking from the car to the drs office. 

just wondering if there is anything I should prepare for.

When I stopped taking my procardia I felt better than before.  The medicine was making me have serious headaches and was causing tachycardia so when I stopped (also cold turkey) I felt like a new woman.

thank you for the info, I am curious to see how quickly my lo will arrive  since i spent 4 visits to l&d last month w/ contractions..  im just so thankful to have made it this far.. '

I felt awesome after stopping procardia - no side effects for me besides I had more energy, my heart stopped racing, etc.

I felt great when I stopped my procardia.  Went into labor the next day but stalled when I got my epi.  I stopped at 34w and had DD at 38w1d (induction).

I wasn't on it for that long (At my peri's office, they don't stop labor after 34 weeks so had me stop.), but getting off of it was wonderful, mostly because the migraines subsided.
