Pregnant after a Loss

what do they say about blurred vision?

My eyes have been fuzzy all day, not to mention they have been shaky... almost twitching.

Is this something I should be concerned about?

Re: what do they say about blurred vision?

  • Can be a symptom of pre-e.  I would definitely get checked out ASAP.  Once your vision starts to be blurry, it means your brain is swelling.  BUT, it could also be the heat.  Do you have any other symptoms of anything?  I don't mean to scare you.

  • No, I don't have any other symptoms... I'm not swelling at all or have a headache. I'll call right away just in case.

  • I not sure if you should be concerned or not but I would like to say that my eye doctor (one with a MD after his name) said that during pregnancy visions can change (he told me to except my vision to worsen throughout my pregnancy and it should go back to normal after I delivered). I would still call someone and tell them but you should be aware that it could be nothing as well as something.

I don't think this is a cause for concern. Pregnancy makes all your tissues swell, including you corneas... this causes blurred vision during pg. I personally would mention it at your next appt, unless it's so bad that you can't safely drive.

ETA: Ok, I googled to make sure, and sources say you should call the doc just in case.

  • Do you wear contacts? I haven't been having blurred vision, but my eyes are really dry and itchy...

  • Your vision may change with pg, but if it is too bad I would definitely call your doc. I have also heard that twitching may be due to dehydration.
