I'm in a funk.
I'm having a difficult period and my body aches and I feel gross. I don't want to go anywhere or do anything. At. All. I've felt this way since Sunday.
I just want to be left alone, but that isn't possible.
What do you do to get out of a funk?
Re: If you are in a funk, how do you get out of it?
Shop. Or drink. Or drink and shop.
Neither of which are healthy.
Sorry-- no advice. I've been in a funk since I woke up yesterday morning. Just annoyed, in general.
Must snap out of it!!!
Mind over matter DOES work -- self talk and all that. It's just hard to get started.
Exercise.
Really bad food.
Funny, huh?
Also, if I have the time and money- some sort of pampering- a pedicure, massage, etc.

Ah Jodi. I don't even want to shop. Spending that money would actually make me feel worse right now since I know it isn't anything we would need.
I have tolerance for alcohol anymore and it makes me feel worse when I'm in a funk.
I thought about the mind over matter thing, but I did that yesterday and still felt yucky.
I guess my period needs to go away and THEN maybe I will feel better.
It's 10 AM. I may go take a bath.
Take the 45min drive to Lake Michigan & hang there all day, and eat french onion soup at my fave restaurant there.
Listen to music very loudly.
Random drive.
Watch The Princess Bride, Overboard, or Big Trouble In Little China (don't ask, it works LOL)
This. I hate doing both, but ALWAYS feel better when I do.
Exercise hard.
Listen to loud music and dance.
Write a list of things that I'm thankful for.
