Another umbillical cord question

DS cord stump fell off yesterday but there's still some "crap" (not really sure what) in his belly button- I know this is fairly normal from my post yesterday, but my question is- can we give him a tub bath now? I know you're supposed to wait for the cord to fall off, but what about the other stuff still there? Do I have to wait for that to be gone too before giving him a tub bath?

If his belly button is still oozing, then you should wait until that dries up.  If not, you can give him a tub bath!
