Hey! thanks for thinking of me...I'm still here, although slowly adjusting to mommyhood. Jake and I just got back from the pharmacy, bank and the post office and I feel like I could sleep for a week!
Anyway, I've only had the seaweed soup once! Can you believe it?! She brought it to the hospital- I ate about 10 spoonfulls to appease her and then chucked the rest when she left She never ended up staying with us which is probably (no- definitely) for the best. She came up about a week ago and was planning on staying for a while but when she saw that DH and I were doing a good job at keeping our son alive (we knew how to change a diaper, I was bfing well, etc.) she felt like she wasn't needed and went home. Sounds like it was on bad terms, but it wasn't. I think she just had very different expectations of what it was going to be like. They've been up a few times since then to just visit and it's actually been pleasant (except of course when she asks why I'm not wearing socks and why on earth am I drinking cold water?!?) LOL!
you lucked out! I had a good 5 days of that stinky soup.
your little boy is a cutie pie! I cannot wait to watch him get older and see who he looks like. I have a friend here in the city and her husband is also korean (she's very blonde.) their 5 month old son looks quite asian but with fair skin and blue eyes! adorable too.
