npr: Would you & Dh got to a costume party?

We are throwing a huge party in October for everyone to see our new house and just get together without the kids.  A few friends who are helping me plan want to make it a costume party since it will be a couple weeks before Halloween.  I love dressing up, but not sure that everyone else does.  I know my dh doesn't like to, as well as some other male friends.

What do you think?  Do you like dressing up?  Adult Halloween Parties?  Or just make it a regular get together party?

We love costume parties!! Last year we went with some friends-our guys dressed like Mario and Luigi and us girls dressed like the princesses. Got tons of great comments on it.

Thanks guys!  My dg and his friends can be a pain when it comes to this kind of thing, but the women like doing it.

Yes, we would and have. One time we went as a Playboy bunny and Hef, and another party was 80s' themed. DH went as a metal head (basically, himself in the 80's) and I was a Madonna wanna.  They were both a lot of fun.
