Pregnant after a Loss

For those who know the sex

I am just so curious to know how you have felt through the pregnancy so far. So many people have told me with girls, they were really sick and with boys they did not get sick but deal with bouts of nausea. I know everyone's pregnancy is different and I am sure its not accurate at all but I am still curious. :)

Re: For those who know the sex

  • I'm having a girl and I never once threw up. I was a bit nauseous throughout the first tri with some food aversions, but that was it.

  • I had no M/S with DS & all of my GFs that had girls had M/S

I don't know if it is always so but in my circles that theory has held true

  • I wasn't really sick and I have a little girl!  I heard the same thing, but then I know several girls that were extremely sick with their little boys.  I guess you never really know.
  • I am having a boy and never threw up, but definitely had days in the early 1st tri where I was immobilized with hangover-type symptoms.

  • i'm having a boy and never felt sick, knock on wood!
  • Girl for me and I never got sick either. I had a few weeks of feeling nauseous, but never actually threw up. This is one of the OWT's I definitely don't believe, every person and every pregnancy is just so different.
  • I wasn't as sick this time as last time and this time was a boy and last time was a girl.  But, i really don't think there is a diffrence.  I will say i eat healthier this pg with boy than i did with girl and i always want sweet stuff.

  • There is a little girl in me....was super sick for the first 11 weeks....but only threw up during week 9.  I craved lots of sweet things and hated sour stuff.

  • I am having a little girl.  Though I did feel nauseated from weeks 6-10, I never actually got sick!  I don't think any of these things can determine whether you have a boy or a girl.  It's 50-50 so some people's guesses will be right, no matter their reasoning.

  • I'm having a girl.  I was naseaus until week 11 and needed to eat small snacks to help curb that.  I never did vomit though.  I craved sweets (but then again I always have).

  • See what your mom and grandma's pgs were like. My mom and her mom were both super sick with girls, and not so bad with boys. I'm kinda assuming it might run in families?

  • Not true at all. I was not sick at all and am having a girl. My bf was so sick nonstop in both her pg and has two boys, my sister was not sick at all and has one boy and one girl. Morning sickness is not an indicator at all of the baby's sex.
  • Interesting girls! I know it has nothing to do with the baby's sex but I just find it all intersting to hear. So many people like to say it is one way or another but I dont believe that and know we are all different and you just never know. I have heard both sides of it and its just so funny how many people like to me now that I am pregnant, oh you are not sick, that means it is this or that. Or oh you feel that way, that means you are having a boy. LOL. Just makes me laugh.

  • I am having a boy and have been sick this entire time!  I only had a few weeks where I only threw up every few days or weekly, now its back!
  • I'm having a boy and my sister had a girl a few months ago.  We are having fairly similar pregnancies as far as symptoms go.  Neither of us actually threw up but we both had a few moments of naseau.

  • I was sick up until 20 weeks with my daughter this time.   With my son I just had the waves of nausea, but never threw up.
  • I've felt great my entire pg. No bouts of nausea or vomitting! My 1st real bout of being sick was almost 2 wks ago w/ a sinus infection and bronchitis.

    Im having a little boy!

  • I'm having a girl and I didn't get sick at all.  Just some food aversions!
  • I am having a girl and I did not throw up at all.  I felt hungover in the first trimester and was tired.  I also had some food aversions but that is about all and when 2nd tri arrived I was back to normal.
  • I was more sick with this pregnancy (I'm having a boy) than I was when I was pregnant with DD.  This time I have craved salty and with DD I always craved sweets.
  • Both times I've been pregnant with boys and only mild nausea if I don't eat every few hours : )
