Re: what would be a good middle name
I don't think Skylar Jane goes very smoothly. If you love it I would stil use it, but you could find something with a better flow. I would also stay with something obviously feminine considerng Skylar is rather androgynous. Maybe Skylar Charlotte, Skylar Louisa, Skylar Amanda, Skylar Alexis, Sklyar Elise... something along those lines.
lol, so Skylar Charlotte is smoother?
I think Skylar Jane sounds good together!
It's alliterative, so yeah, IMO at least.
I like Skylar Jane...but w/ a short ln, I would pick a longer mn.
I love Skylar Jane. I think it flows very well. The r-j sound combination is common within words, so it connects well between words, too. (ex. Margarine, Large).
The only thing that I would stay away from is names that have the same stress pattern as Skylar - stressed + unstressed. It'll sound like a nursery rhyme. Skyler Amy, Skylar Susan, and yes, Skyler Charlotte.
Isn't an alliteration where the 1st two letters are the same? I didn't think S and C are the same when they're pronounced ssss and ch. Skylar Susanne would be an alliteration, right?
I think Skylar Jane flows well and it really only matters what the 1st and last name sound like together cause the only time you see the mn is when Mommy or Daddy are trying to put the smack down or on a wedding invitation. Skylar Grace, Marie, Leanne, Quinn, Belle, Olivia, Noelle all sound good, IMO.
