DS falling down steps a lot.....

So in the past 2 days DS has fallen down the steps (about 6-7 steps) a couple of times. Now he has a bruise on either side of his temple, and today he went down on his face, and has red rugburns under his left eye. When he was walking to his room for his nap, he tripped over nothing and just fell down. He's been tripping over "nothing" or maybe his feet, a LOT lately. Any ideas what would cause this?? Thanks!

Oh, and he did have ear tubes put in in April due to having fluid in his ears, but I don't know if they're open or closed over, we haven't had them checked yet. So I wonder about his inner ear fluid in regards to his balance?

I would think it could be inner ear or vision. I would call the doctor tomorrow just to have him checked out.

In the meantime can you have him do the booty scoot down the stairs to be safe? Or have hold yours or his brother 's hand?

Get him checked out please.  Hopefully it is just his ears setting off his balance, but it could be things much more serious like a brain tumor.  Has he had headaches, unexplained vomiting? esp. in the morning?  Don't think the worse, but have him checked out.

Don't worry....my mind had already been to things like a brain tumor lol..I'm a paranoid mom what can I say. But he's been acting the same, except for some crying when he woke up from his nap this afternoon. And he had fallen down the steps right before his nap. Maybe he's just clumsy?
