Time to get my progesterone refilled and I called this morning so that we could pick it up this afternoon...Stupid pharmacy line says that it's "too early" for me to be calling for a refill. Well, yeah, maybe because the directions on the bottle say to take it once a day, but my dr. told me to take it twice a day. So yes I'd go through it twice as fast. I have two pills for today but will need for sure to get more pills tomorrow and I know I will not do well mentally if I miss a dose. That would just make me feel uneasy at this point.
I mean, hopefully they will call me back soon and we can get it straightened out. It's not like progesterone is an extremely addictive street drug you know? Fingers crossed they cooperate with me!

2IF does not always equal 3IF...Surprise!
If they don't let you do it for you can you just call the Dr first thing in the A.M. and have them call in the Rx? You could just take your first dose tomorrow a little later than you normally would...?
This for sure!!
This is very frustrating. However, coming from a pharmacy perspective (I am a pharmacist), technically, they are right. By law, they can only dispense any medication as the doctor prescribed. It is your doctor's?responsibility?to call in accurate scripts. ?If this medication is being paid from insurance, the insurance company is VERY strict as to when you can fill things. If the insurance company did an audit (which they do often) the pharmacy would lose the money the insurance company gave them because they weren't filling as the prescriber wrote.
You are totally right that it is stupid pharmacists can't just change the order, but thems the rules. The good news, is that it shouldn't be a problem for the doctor to call in an updated order. Maybe the pharmacy can even call the office for you. That is what I do. Doctors often have you take medicine differently from the script without realizing how it affects you and your refills.
?Good Luck!??
