Another Post-D&C question

Good morning,

Since it is Sunday doctors' offices are closed, but maybe someone here can advise me?  I had a D&C on Weds. and the bleeding I've experienced has varied greatly in volume each day since.  Last evening, overnight last night, and so far this morning, I seem to be passing some dark red clumps.  Is this normal?  And what is this?  Immediately I wondered if it was some part of the miscarriage that is starting to pass and that made me extremely sad.  I hope this means that the bleeding will end soon.

I'm sorry, it is probably pieces of tissue.  It is normal, just watch to make sure that you don't have any excessive bleeding, going through a pad every hour or two.  It's hard to say if the bleeding will stop soon, mine went on for a long time, over three weeks.  Sometimes though people only have bleeding for a few days, hopefully that is what will happen with you.

Yes, I had the same thing. Like said above it is most likely tissue. I bled for about 7 days and the amount varied.

Thanks ladies.  The amount of tissue is getting heavier as the morning progresses.  This is so depressing.

Since you had a d/c it concerns me that your passing more clots. I had a d/e and they advised if I start passing clots and have increased bleeding, that is something they (need) to know.  How are you now?
