First off I am new here so I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I am 41 and have 2 children........21 & 13 so as you can see it's been awhile since I've had children. Never would I have thought that I would be "trying" to have a baby. My dh and I both felt content and for the last couple of years we both have had a desire to try for a baby. Now, with both my kids never did I have to try it just happened and now I am realizing that it's not happening like that this time. My questions are.........I realize that I am 41 so I am wondering what my chances might be? Last month we really tried and AF decided to visit so we are out. I stressed myself out charting, and reading everything I could get my hand on.........so my other question is.........when is the best time to BD.............I have read to do it everyday and I've read every other day on days 8-16 of your cycle? So what would you ladies advice would be the easiest route to try............I can make myself have symptoms when I really don't have them........I have a little anxiety.....can you tell.......lol. Looking forward to getting to know you ladies.

Re: TTC #3.....41
Hi Tammy! I'm new here too and like you I have a pretty big age gap between my kids. My 1st is 13, my 2nd is 11 and my 3rd is 4 months. We are actively TTCing for #4 and final, but having a rough go because I'm still breastfeeding.
I got #3 after 7 months of trying by temp charting and using fertilityfriend.com the first month we realized where my O date was we got knocked up! We had just been doing it too early the previous months!
Welcome!
Stephanie
Welcome and good luck to you!
I would recommend charting and using OPK so you can pinpoint your O day better. Then you want to get to it starting the 3-4 days before you O up to O day. They say either every day or every other day. Also, know that it will probably take some time. If you haven't gotten KU after 6 months of trying, give the dr. a call.
Good luck!
Hi there and welcome! I saw your previous post on GP, glad you came over here too!
I would recommend following the advice of previous posters regarding charting and using OPKS. If charting is too stressful for you, at least the OPKs can pinpoint when you 'may' ovulate but not if you actually do. You can plan sex around the OPK, in that case.
I noticed as I got older, I had less fertile cervical fluid. I discovered that drinking 2 cups of green tea daily from CD1 to ovulation increased my days of fertile CM. I also started using Pre Seed last month.
Good luck and looking forward to getting to know you!
