my second shower

is happening right now and here I sit in the hospital=(

Aaron and MIL have gone to the shower. It stinks. I didn't even know I was having another shower until I saw my mom's invite. They told MIL they wanted to throw one for me. She told them what was going with me and that they could have the shower here, but nope. They decided to have it without me. Is it sad I didn't even get an invite and they never reached out to me?

 My MIL is upset they went ahead with it. I am very happy they wanted to throw the shower, but it sucks I can't be there.

I want cake:)

 And I am missing my niece's birthday=( I am like her second mommy.

    What?  Who are these people?  That is the most ridiculously selfish thing I've ever heard!  Who has a shower and doesn't even INVITE the guest of honor, let alone move it to a place where she can attend?  I'm so sorry.  Your DH had better bring you back some cake!

    His dad sister is throwing the shower. My MIL begged and pleaded for them to either bring it here or wait until the babies were born. She is throwing one after the babies come.

    His dad's family is excited because it's the first set of twins. I guess that trumps the preggo lady in the hospital.

    MIL and FIL are divorced, so it has nothing to do with MIL.

    Wow, that is incredibly rude. It sounds as if they are throwing the shower for themselves rather than for you. You don't need to be with those selfish people - just accept all the gifts!

    Wow, that is nuts!  And incredibly rude.  I'm stunned!  The shower is supposed to be about YOU and those little ones in YOUR belly.  They're acting like it's about them.  Bizarre!!!

    I'm so glad you got some cake!  (And congrats on getting a hall pass.  ;)
